Letter from our Board Chair

March 13, 2026

Dear Friends of Camp Swatara,

We share the sad news that the Camp's Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of Tim Courtright, the executive director of Camp Swatara. Tim has served with faithfulness, dedication, and passion, overseeing numerous changes including the addition of the Aquatics area and the woods bathhouse at Camp Swatara. We will miss his leadership. In his letter he shared, "I have been grateful to learn and to grow in working with the Church of the Brethren, our staff, and volunteers who have the capacity to unite and see the mission of Camp Swatara realized. I have also loved to see, meet, and hear campers and their stories of how they experienced God through their time at Camp Swatara."

Tim's last day working will be September 5, 2026. He will continue to faithfully serve in his current role as the board begins the search process for the next executive director of Camp Swatara. We are thankful for his years of service, and we pray for Tim's success in his future endeavors. We encourage you to send him a message of how he has touched your life while serving at Camp Swatara.
