Camp Swatara has the following rules in order to provide a wholesome, safe, enjoyable, Christian atmosphere for all who camp here. The camp personnel reserve the right to ask any camper to leave the grounds, without refund, in the event of any of the camp rules and policies being broken.
- Camp Swatara is a smoke and alcohol free environment. No Smoking or Alcoholic Beverages are permitted anywhere on the camp property.
- Bicycles and roller blades are permitted between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm daily only if observing the 5 MPH speed limit, wearing helmets if under 12, and yielding to all vehicular and foot traffic. Skateboards are not permitted.
- Quiet time is enforced from 11:00pm to 7:30am. During these hours the Fellowship hall, Woods pavilion and recreation areas will be closed and children must be with parents.
- Pets are permitted, but only if kept on a leash at all times, and restrained from annoying any other campers. Pets are not permitted in any buildings and owners must clean up after their pets.
- Speed limit for all traffic at camp is 5 MPH. No driving is permitted in the area of the Fellowship Hall on Sunday 9:45 - 11:15am.
- The Camp Swatara staff reserves the right to ask groups making excessive noise to quiet down even if before quiet hours. Please be respectful of your camping neighbors and keep group noise at a minimum.
- Campers are encouraged to leave radios and stereos at home.
